I got a shipment from Target over the weekend with all of my Peter Pilotto goodies. Interestingly, these pants were not the thing I was most excited about when ordering but definitely my favorite after trying on. This entire collection is perfect for me as someone who is shy about patterns. Its a good starter to bringing prints into the wardrobe and there are enough pieces that I can get several matchy outfits.
These pants are a very lightweight, stretchy poly blend that wears like a crepe. You wouldn’t think that they would be as flattering as they are, but they are a smooth and crisp wear. I got so many compliments on them at the office. Two of my coworkers had to have them and ordered their own after seeing me in them! Thats how good they are.
I wasn’t sure how to accessorize with patterns so I figured why not just go big on all fronts. I added a large bib necklace and chunky link bracelet, both in a yellow gold. I also decided to go very ladylike with the shoes since the sweatshirt is quite casual.
And I topped my lips with my latest obsession - Hello Sailor from Lipstick Queen. It gives your lips the most sheer violet tint. So I thought it would be perfect with the sea green in the sweatshirt.
